Card Samples

Here in Indiana, we are suffering through a cold snap, which I am grateful for, considering what the south and east are going through this winter, with all their snow!  Since I am cooped up, in the house, I have been sorting, organizing, and generally cleaning up in the Classroom, which has been sorely neglected.

I came across two cards we did at a recent club meeting and thought they would be good to share with you all.

This first one is a total C.A.S.E. (copy and share everything) from a fellow demo Martha Gomez.  It uses the Bow Builder punch and the new Something Lacy background stamp.  It is a really quick and easy card that looks quite elegant.  I can see this being used as a wedding or anniversary card!

This next card uses the FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set Lotus Blossom.  I used Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry for the flower, but the color combinations are unlimited!  What are your favorites?

So, stay warm - wherever you are - and try to get some stamping done!  Thanks for stopping by!

Leadership Review and Wow! What a bug!

Gee whiz!  I can't remember the last time I was so sick! Finally, I have turned the corner and actually feel human again!  It was a virus, so I could only treat the symptoms, but I really suffered.  It started while I was away at the Stampin Up' Leadership conference in Orlando two weeks ago.  First a sore throat, then a cough. Throat got much more sore by the time to come home, so I brought it home with me and graciously shared with my dear Hubby!  He has really been down these past several days - same symptoms - and hopefully is rounding the corner to wellness too.

I promise not to share that bug with you, but I do want to share some Leadership fun!  It was such a great conference, even though I was traveling solo, I wasn't an orphan long, since stampers are so friendly, I frequently found a pal to walk with, eat with, or just talk to and share ideas.  Lots and lots of great ideas to bring back to our businesses and implement.  Here is a picture of a couple pals to allowed me to hang out with them at the Manager's Reception.  See the fun snacks we had?

The highlight of the whole trip, of course, was to get a photo with Shelli!  She is so gracious and warm!  She and Sterling have applied for a mission with their church (LDS) and are waiting to hear where they will go.  I will miss seeing her at Convention this year!

I was a lucky Prize Patrol winner!  This one must have been popular!  See them all stacked up on the cart?

There were many "all attendee" give-aways and so I came home with lots of goodies - glad I had extra room in my suitcase!  I would have hated to leave dirty clothes behind!  :-D  Here is a picture of all the free stuff we got!  I really like this year's bag!

Finally, I did a bit of card front swapping.  I will share some of them in the following days.

Check back in a few days to see the details....there are lots of great swaps!

I'm Back!!!

Can you believe it?  It's been more than 6 months since I have posted to this blog.  Shameful!  However, in my defense, there have been several things that have impacted my of which was I have fully retired from my day job!

I officially retired September 30th, 2014, then we visited our son and daughter-in-love in New Mexico for a bit, then came the holidays, then I hurt my leg and dealt with that for about 6 weeks, so FINALLY I think I am at a point that I can return to blogging!

If any of you are still out there in Blogland, I so apologize for leaving you hanging, and if there is no one there, I'll still blog just so I can keep track of what I am doing!  :-D

I am preparing to leave for the Stampin' Up! Leadership 2015 on Wednesday, which will be held in Orlando again.  This is always a great conference to get my creative and business juices going.  I have been working today on swaps and am really pleased with how they are turning out.  This first one uses a new stamp set from the Occasions Catalog (see link in right side bar) called Sheltering Tree.

I'll probably not post again until next Monday, when I get back home from Leadership.  Hopefully, I'll have some fun samples to share with you.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this post.  Do you like the new listing of products used?  It's an extra step for me to add, but I think you might find it useful to know at least the colors I used in a project.  Spread the word that I am back to blogging and PLEASE feel free to leave a comment!  I love reading your thoughts!
