I'm Back!!!

Can you believe it?  It's been more than 6 months since I have posted to this blog.  Shameful!  However, in my defense, there have been several things that have impacted my blogging...one of which was I have fully retired from my day job!

I officially retired September 30th, 2014, then we visited our son and daughter-in-love in New Mexico for a bit, then came the holidays, then I hurt my leg and dealt with that for about 6 weeks, so FINALLY I think I am at a point that I can return to blogging!

If any of you are still out there in Blogland, I so apologize for leaving you hanging, and if there is no one there, I'll still blog just so I can keep track of what I am doing!  :-D

I am preparing to leave for the Stampin' Up! Leadership 2015 on Wednesday, which will be held in Orlando again.  This is always a great conference to get my creative and business juices going.  I have been working today on swaps and am really pleased with how they are turning out.  This first one uses a new stamp set from the Occasions Catalog (see link in right side bar) called Sheltering Tree.

I'll probably not post again until next Monday, when I get back home from Leadership.  Hopefully, I'll have some fun samples to share with you.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this post.  Do you like the new listing of products used?  It's an extra step for me to add, but I think you might find it useful to know at least the colors I used in a project.  Spread the word that I am back to blogging and PLEASE feel free to leave a comment!  I love reading your thoughts!

Christmas Card time!

Can you believe August is almost over?  Here in the Midwest this month is usually filled with 90 degree weather and lots of humidity.  Very different this year in that we have yet to have a 90 degree day!  We have had lots of humid days, they just haven't reached that magic number.  It's kinda nice to still have green grass, not brown!

Anyway, August brings the start of my Christmas Stamp-a-Stacks for 2014.  I have four sessions scheduled-August, September, October and November-so that you can have your Christmas cards all done by the end of November!

My August session is this Thursday, and I still have a couple seats open. Thanks to my fellow demonstrators for the inspiration on these cards that we will make:

It should be a fun night!  If you are local, let me know if you would like to join us!  You can check out the schedule on my Calendar of Events on my website HERE.

Convention Make and Takes

I have been home from convention for a week, and am just now getting totally unpacked and taking a few minutes to look at my loot and swaps.  We got so much "stuff" that I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it all home without paying for another bag!  Besides the free stuff, we were also given the chance to buy certain items from the new, up-coming Holiday Catalog (goes live August 28th!) so that made me super worried!  But, all ended well, and everything made it home just fine.

As I sorted through the items, I took a few minutes to make the actual Make and Takes that we were given supplies for at Convention.  I rarely make them there, since everything seems so rushed and there is so much to see, that I usually wait until I am home to stamp and assemble.  This year was the same, so I made these at home, some of them I used a bit of "creative license" to arrange, but regardless, they are so fun!

These projects used the three FREE stamp sets we received in our Convention bag - Kinda Eclectic and Amazing Birthday from the Annual catalog (page 164 and page 48) and  Seasonally Scattered from the new Holiday catalog.  You might also spy a new item in the center picture...available in the Holiday Catalog - take out boxes!   The last picture shows the fun Gift Card Enclosure which can be found on page 194 of  the Annual Catalog.

Now I get to sort through and examine all the of awesome swaps I got...over 250!  Fun times ahead!
