Fun Stamping

The new Summer mini catalog is now available, and I hope you all got your own personal copy of it by now.  But, just in case...

As a demonstrator, I get to order some products early from each catalog so I can have time to play with new "stuff".   I actually received my new items a few weeks ago, but just now taking the time to spread it out and experiment.

My DIL Angela came over last evening and we just created and stamped.  I don't often take time to "just stamp"....usually I am prepping for a club or workshop or  a swap.  :-)  We had a great time asking each other for their opinion on a design element...and laughing at each other's "oops".

Angela chose Watercolor Trio for her first card and used Watercolor crayons to apply color to the wet rubber.  She then stamped on watercolor paper.  Don't you love how soft and pretty the colors are?

Her second card used the Elements of Style set, and she intended to watercolor the large flower.  She stamped using black Stazon since she would be watercoloring and she didn't want black ink to run.  However, after stamping the image, it looked so pretty and sharp that we decided to do a black and white card!  She ended up adding some Rich Razzleberry cardstock as a layer.  As a final touch, we spritzed some of the new Smooch sprays.  We used the Vanilla shimmer first but decided it didn't show up enough, so we added the Silver Foil spray.
Really hard to see the shimmer in this picture....but if you look at this snippet you can see a bit of it here...

I'll reserve judgment on the Smooch Spritz product until I have a chance to try it a few times on different colors and combinations.  It might have potential under the right circumstances.  :-)

Tomorrow I'll share the cards I made.  There are such great products in this mini catalog!  I can't wait to play some more and share with you!
