Yesterday was my great-nephew's first birthday, and I, of course, HAD to go to the party!
I knew he would get ample "toys", so I just did a card with some money for his savings account. But because I love that cute photo of him that I took at Easter (see the layout HERE and HERE), I decided to make a picture frame and decorate it as a memento of his first birthday! What do you think?
This was all created with My Digital Studio, except for the letters I A N which were done with the Big Shot and adhered to the picture mat.
I made the layout using a paper from the Sweet Pea paper package, and printed it out on 8.5" x 11" photo paper. The frame had double matting which worked ideal for this layout. The other birthday embellishments were also printed from MDS and then cut out. I love being able to do this. I knew if I just used regular stamps, they would look out of proportion, so I just opened a blank page in the software, brought in the various stamp images I wanted to use, enlarged them, chose the color I wanted for each, then printed the page on photo paper. I then cut them out, and adhered them to the picture mat exactly where I wanted them.
This would be a great present for pretty much any occasion! Don't you agree?
