My first card uses the Itty Bitty stamps, punches and buttons out of the new Summer mini. These are so tiny, but will be so fun to use as accents on lots of things. The background accent piece uses the new embossing folder for the Big Shot called "Square Lattice". I didn't do anything to it, just run the Whisper White cardstock through. It feels really cool too....like it is almost rubbery instead of papery. I used the retiring Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay cardstock.
My second card uses the new "Go, Graduate", and only Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock. I thought about adding some color, but decided against it since it looking so striking in just black and white.
Don't you agree?
My last creation uses my very favorite set out of the new mini "Watercolor Trio". I am a sucker for any flower stamp, so this one called to me very loudly! I used Rich Razzleberry for the card base, with a layer of Old Olive. I then did generation stamping using the same ink colors as I stamped the longest flower several times. If you don't know what "generation" stamping is, it is merely continue to stamp the image without reinking between. Each successive stamped image will be lighter. I can usually get 3 or 4 stampings before the color is totally gone.
I really love this card and how it turned out! The sentiment uses the oval punch, sponged around the edges, then I punch two modern label punches, cut the Old Olive one in half and spread it out behind the Rich Razzleberry one. Cool, huh?
Anyway, I am thinking since all the ink and cardstock colors I used will still be current, and the stamp set itself will be "current" until the end of August, this may be my swap for Convention this July! I usually make about 200 for general swapping, and they will probably be all gone within the first day or so. The good thing is that I will come home with 200 new ideas to share with everyone! I'm getting excited!!!
