Summer Splendor

Sunday was my little boy's birthday...but we didn't celebrate until Monday evening, when he and his wife came over for dinner, cake and ice cream,

and PRESENTS!

I am so proud of this young man, and it's not just because he is my son.  He is an awesome husband, and has become a wonderful, caring grown up.  He makes me so happy when he calls me Mom!

Anyway....I recently downloaded a new My Digital Studio file called "Summertime Splendor", which is a great group of digital flowered designer papers and is only $4.95!  Did you know you can download our digital files and use them in other software?  Let me know if you need more information on how to do that.

I played around in the software arranging four images to a page, adding the sentiment, then printing them out using my home printer onto Whisper White cardstock.  Then I cut them apart, layered them on corresponding cardstock and made thank you cards!  Inside is a layer using just a sliver of the same flower image that is on the front.  I love how these turned out!

So, of course, I made my son a birthday card, using one of the more "manly" images.  I even composed the sentiment inside, which, in case you can't read it says "When you were a boy, you held our hands.  Now that you're grown, you hold our hearts.  We are so proud of the husband you are, and the man you've become".

Hey, maybe I'm in the wrong business!  Smiley from millan.net
