Artistic Etchings

I have been playing a bit with some new catalog product that we demos were able to preorder.  Convention is only a month away (4 weeks from next Wednesday to be exact!) and I need to get started on my cardfront swaps!  I have signed up for a couple of the organized swaps, and then will have a design for the general swapping that goes on during Convention.

So you can see I need to get busy!

Because I am in several swaps, I will need to do a few different designs.  I started off with the new stamp set coming July 1st called "Artistic Etchings".  This set has several elements to use for an "artsy" type card.  I'm not sure this is one I will use, since I don't know if I really like it enough to make it multiple times.Smiley from millan.net

This design uses Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive cardstock, with Basic Black for layering, and lots of distressing and sponging, so they would be fairly labor intensive to make.  If I *do* decide to make this, I am leaning toward the vertical one, not the horizontal one.  I have a couple other stamp sets to play with, so stay tuned for another fabulous creation!

Gotta go to work now...at least it is Friday, and my weekend is free except for DH's Father's Day breakfast on Sunday.   I'm hoping that means some time in my Ink Pad Smiley from millan.net
