Valentine's Day is coming!

Do you celebrate Valentine's Day?  Do you have your treats/cards done?  Have you even thought about them?

I am planning to make a Valentine gift for all my co-workers, which now count 102, so today I was in the classroom for a bit, playing with some new product from the Occasions mini.

I got the Petal Cone die for the Big Shot, so I thought I would try it out.  This is what I got put together first time out.  I had the DSP scraps on the table, as well as the scrap piece of the new Glimmer Paper.  I used our 1/4" grosgrain ribbon to make the handle, and now all it needs is a treat for inside!

Do you just love the Glimmer paper?

I also gave the candy wrapper die a try to see how that would work.  Here is the fun candy box I came up with quickly...

As I analyze the steps involved in each project, I wonder if I should just do a Valentine card!  LOL!  Seriously, each project is fairly involved with numerous steps in each.  Remember I will need to make at least 102 of these!
Which do you like best?

  1. Wow, you are ambitious! For that number, I think the 2nd project is a little more practical. I think they'll travel and be set on a desk a little more easily than the cone. Great projects!

  2. The Petal Cone has my vote! I have been looking at that and wondering just how much work is involved. Hmm...Both look great! However, with 102, you are probably right on a card! Eight days until Sale-A-Bration!!!!!

  3. You are awesome! I am so proud of you for getting started so soon! I do love the glitter paper! I like the candy wrapper best! :-) Tres' cute!!

  4. I made 60 valentine's for the twins classes on Sunday and Monday nigts. I'll bring some to class to show you. They were soooooo simple! I love both of your projects, but I agree with Peg - the second project will travel to work easier than the cones. Thanks for sharing!
