Yes, I have hit the Tri-fecta! Three days in a row for posts!
I thought I would share some quick note cards I made for a friend I met in Florida. I met Jean at the pool last November and we hit it off! I promised her I would make her some note cards, but time got away from me and I am just now getting around to it!
I used one of the designs from the package of Designer Cuts note cards that are in the Occasions mini. (I sure hope these cards make it into the big new Idea Book and Catalog!) This set comes with 4 cards of this design and 4 cards with a diecut heart, as well as pink envelopes. We used the heart card at stamp club last week, using the stained glass technique shown by Patty Bennett. It is so simple...just place a piece of vellum over the heart and scribble color, then you can attach the vellum to the underside of the heart inside the card. Cover it all with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and no one ever knows how easy it really was to make. This looks so classy!
So, since I had all these bordered cards, I just added cardstock to the underside of the front of the card, added a sentiment and I was done! Oh, I did stamp some butterflies on the corner of the envelopes. I did add some bling to them too by adding pearls and rhinestones. I put them in the mail today, so I hope she will enjoy using them.
