Workshop projects

I had a great workshop last evening with my good customer, Sylvia.  She wanted to take advantage of the great hostess benefits that are available during Sale-a-Bration.  I'm sad because there are only a few days left, since the promotion will end on March 31st!

We used the stamp set Mixed Bunch on one card, and the coordinating punch on the second card, so that was fun to see all that can be done with these products and images.

This first card only uses the punch and a piece of Designer Series Paper ( this one is from the Everyday Enchantment pack), layered over some Very Vanilla card stock with a Peach Parfait card base.  This is a great way to use up some of those design papers in the packages that aren't quite up to snuff.  You know how that goes...in every package of DSP there are a couple of designs that you just fall in love with....and the rest is...ho hum...right?

The second card we made actually is stamped.  This technique is called "one sheet wonder"...where you can stamp a full sheet of card stock with random images, then cut it up to use as layers for your cards.  Really great way to speed up your cardmaking!

We used Wisteria Wonder card stock for the card base and the broad image flower, Concord Crush for the lined flower image (who else will be sad to see Concord Crush retire?  *sniff)  and Lucky Limeade for the smaller round images.  We used the pleated ribbon that is new in the mini catalog, and it is pretty much done!  We added some bling...using our Dazzling Details in the center of the lined flowers...but you can't see it too well in my picture.  In real life it is really blingy!

We had a great evening, stamping and chatting.  Sylvia and her family/friends are even starting their own club that will begin next month!  How fun is that?
