The new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog went live yesterday, and can I just say it is almost better than Christmas! O-M-G! I'm sure you have already seen it, either in person with your own copy in hand, or online via someone's blog or the Stampin' Up! homepage. What do you think? Is it not the best edition of all time?
Okay, maybe I am being a bit dramatic here, but I do have to say that this catalog is awesome. Not only because of the new product it contains, but the way things are arranged and how the pages actually look make me happy! Have you heard about the new stamp pads? Perfect stamping every time!
We demos were able to pre-order some product, and while I've had my new products for a few weeks, I just took the time this week to play. One of the new stamp sets is called "Papaya Collage" and has lots of shabby chic-type stamps. I will be using this set for one of my many swaps for Convention this year. I did come up with this creation.
The frame and the butterfly and leaf background are from this set. The sentiment and numbers are from a new stamp set called "Memorable Moments". I can see myself using this set alot!
The colors used include new In Colors Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit, and I love the two of them paired. I think this would make a good masculine color combination too.
I did fussy cut the frame, so I'm not sure how to adapt the design to mass produce, but used our Apothecary Framelits and the Big Shot to make the insert in the frame.
I plan to be in the classroom most of the weekend, trying to get my various swaps at least designed, and depending on time, maybe even started. I have about 6 weeks to get somewhere around 500 cards or card fronts made. But I will have help again this year...my awesome club members and customers are all planning a day or two of assembly line duty. How could I get along without them?
