Convention Swap time!

Yes, it is time to be working on Convention swaps!  I have signed up for several organized swaps this year and hope to get a few extra done for general swapping too.  I have some friends and downline going with me this year to the Stampin' Up! 25th Anniversary Convention, so it promises to be a blast!

I have had a couple workshops as well as club meetings this past month, and will most likely use those projects for inspiration for my swaps.  These are some of the projects I designed for the workshops and club...

The card below uses Early Espresso and Summer Startfruit cardstock as well as a Designer Series paper from the new SoHo Suite.  The stamps come from the Everything Eleanor and From My Heart sets, and I love how the two large images can overlap like that!

I will definitely be using this design for a Convention swap called "Color Me Happy".  The participants choose a color and that will be the main color used for their swap.  Can you guess?  Yes, mine is Summer Starfruit!  Since it would be too costly to use our Designer Series Paper for my swaps, I came up with a way to make my own background with the Dictionary background stamp!  Here is my adaptation of the above card, jazzed up a bit to make it swap-worthy.

Everything is Summer Starfruit, with the exception of the sentiment and bird - I used Soft Suede for those.  I only have to make 50 of this design and I am almost 75% done.

I'm working in the classroom this weekend, so I'll post what I come up with soon!
